The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG is an entrance examination in India, for students who wish to study graduate medical course (MBBS) and dental course (BDS) in government or private medical colleges and dental colleges respectively in India. NEET-UG (Undergraduate), for MBBS and BDS courses, is currently conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NEET-UG replaced all the individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves. NEET is a single entrance test for admissions to all MBBS and BDS seats across India. Neet will be held for 100% seats for all medical colleges across the country. It is categorized into 2 merit lists. The major portion (85%) is for the state quota and the minor portion (15%) is for the National Quota.
AIIMS are a group of colleges that are in the service of giving top medical education along with providing treatment to patients with specialized medical and nursing staff and equipment. AIIMS are located in seven different places with AIIMS Delhi being the parent institution. AIIMS conduct their own medical entrance exam for admissions into MBBS program in all their colleges including Delhi campus. AIIMS are renowned institutions and several students compete against each other to study MBBS program in AIIMS.
